A message from the President…

Hello to all those with an interest in Histology!

As 2015 comes to an end I would like to recap what has happened this year.

In April we had a very successful Spring Symposium outside of Dayton, we had around 80 come to the meeting which was very good when looking at what the State Societies around us have had at their meetings this year.

The meeting was well received and everyone learned a lot! We want to thank all our Vendors that came to show us their new and exciting Histology equipment and items we need everyday to do our job. We had over 20 vendors again this year and I know most of them will be coming back . Thank You Vendors for all you do for us!!

The next Spring Symposium for next year will be April 15-16, 2016 in Worthington just outside Columbus. Check out the program which is posted on the website it's going to be huge this year. Register early and get your room reserved!!

At the end of August the National Society of Histotechnology had their Convention/Symposium just outside of Washington D.C.

It was at a resort and was really nice having almost everyone at one hotel. A lot of meetings, workshops, and exhibits to see and attend kept everyone very busy the whole week long. Now is the time to renew your membership to National or join for the first time and if you do before the end of the year you will receive a free webinar so renew now!! Next year the Convention/Symposium will be in Long Beach, California in September. You won't want to miss this opportunity to attend the National meeting!

I want to thank all of the HSO Officers, Program Chair, Membership Chair and Trustees for all their hard work getting the programs together and making sure the lectures we have are interesting and valuable to all those that attend. To the Vendors who support us and are there for us when we need them.

I would also like to thank all of you out there who support the HSO by becoming or renewing your membership and coming to the Spring Symposium to expand your knowledge of Histology.

I wish you the Happiest of Holidays and the very Best for the New Year!
